North Conway Summer Fun

Summer vacations are in full swing and the weather here in North Conway this week is fantastic. The Mount Washington Valley has so much to offer it’s visitors and residents alike but in this post I’d like to focus on what’s happening in North Conway this week.

At the Conway Scenic Railroad, located directly across from Horsefeathers, is the Thomas The Train Leader of the Pack Tour. The whole family can enjoy storytelling, North Conway Thomas the Trainlive music, a great train ride and you can meet Sir Topham Hatt.

At M&D Productions you can enjoy our local production of “God of Carnage”. This is a Tony Award winning play put on by a talented group of local actors. The show starts at 7pm…don’t be late.

Now for something completely different. This Saturday, 7/16, you can participate in a hands-on glassblowing workshop at The League of NH Craftsmen. You’ll learn to make glass balls and paperweights during this three hour class.

There’s a lot more going on this week but we wanted to give you a feel for the variety of activities. Don’t forget about the obvious things like floating down the Saco or swimming at Echo Lake. No matter your preference there’s always something fun going on in North Conway.

Be sure to visit The Kearsarge Inn for North Conway NH lodging right in the heart of the Village and in walking distance to many of these summer activities.

In this transcendently powerful adaptation by Wendy Kesselman, Anne Frank emerges from the history of WWII a living, intensely gifted young girl, who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horrors of her time with astonishing honesty, wit and determination.

Come witness an impassioned drama about the lives of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic, Director Dennis O’Neil says, “The Diary of Anne Frank captures the claustrophopic realities of their daily existence – their fear, their hope, their laughter, their grief.”
